Please read these terms carefully before creating a Shopbox account or making any purchase. By signing up, you agree to be bound by these terms.

Eligibility & Account Requirements
Who Can Use Shopbox
Shopbox is available to individuals aged 18 and above. By creating an account, you confirm you meet this requirement.
You must be at least 18 years old
You must provide your real name and valid phone number
One account per person — multiple accounts are not permitted
Your account is personal and non-transferable
Do NOT share your account with others
Do NOT create accounts using false information
Do NOT create duplicate accounts — all will be banned
Shopbox reserves the right to verify your identity at any time. Failure to verify or providing false information will result in immediate account termination and forfeiture of any pending orders or refunds.

Ordering & Payment
All prices on Shopbox are displayed in Nigerian Naira (₦) unless otherwise stated. Prices include applicable taxes but do not include delivery fees unless stated as free delivery.
All payments are processed securely through Paystack
Accepted: Card, Bank Transfer, Opay, PalmPay, USSD
Your payment is held safely until delivery is confirmed
Orders cannot be modified after payment is confirmed
Delivery address must be accurate — wrong address is buyer's responsibility
Do NOT attempt chargebacks without contacting Shopbox first
Fraudulent chargebacks result in permanent account ban
Payment Protection
Your money is never released to the seller until delivery is confirmed and the 7-day return window has passed. Your funds are always protected.

Delivery & Receipt
Delivery timeframes are estimates — not guaranteed dates
You will receive SMS and app notifications on delivery status
Inspect your item immediately upon receipt
You must confirm delivery in the app or it auto-confirms after 48 hours
Ensure someone is available at delivery address to receive the item
Failed delivery due to wrong address or unavailability = buyer's cost to redeliver
For international orders via our dropship partners, delivery may take 7–21 business days. Customs duties (if applicable) are the buyer's responsibility.

Returns & Refunds Policy
STRICT RETURN POLICY — READ CAREFULLY
Returns are only accepted under specific circumstances. Attempting to abuse our return policy will result in account suspension and blacklisting.
Return Window: 5 days from delivery confirmation only. No exceptions after this period.

Photo evidence is MANDATORY for all return requests
Items must be in original condition, packaging, with tags intact
Items showing ANY signs of use will be automatically rejected
Wearing shoes to a party and returning them is fraud — account banned
Using an appliance/electronics and returning = rejected + flagged account
Approved refunds processed within 3–5 business days
Refund returned to your original payment method
Shopbox's decision on all return disputes is final and binding. We reserve the right to reject any return request that shows signs of misuse or abuse.

Anti-Fraud & Anti-Abuse Rules
Zero Tolerance Policy
Any attempt to defraud Shopbox, sellers, or other buyers will result in immediate permanent account ban, withholding of refunds, and potential legal action.
Filing false return claims
Unauthorized chargebacks / bank disputes
Creating multiple accounts to abuse promotions
Claiming non-delivery when item was received
Keeping item AND getting refund — this is theft
Threatening or harassing sellers
Returning a different/damaged item than what was received
Return history is tracked. Buyers with 3+ return requests in 90 days will be flagged for review. Suspicious patterns lead to account investigation and potential suspension.

Reviews & Conduct
You have 5 days after delivery to leave a review
Reviews must be honest and based on actual experience
No fake, paid, or incentivized reviews
No abusive, hateful or discriminatory language
No personal information of sellers in reviews
Threatening sellers for refunds outside the policy = ban
Shopbox may remove reviews that violate these guidelines without notice.

Shopbox Liability
Marketplace Platform
Shopbox is a marketplace platform connecting buyers with sellers. We do not manufacture, own, or inspect local seller products directly.
Shopbox is not liable for: product quality beyond our review process, seller behaviour outside our platform, delivery delays caused by third-party couriers, or force majeure events.
Shopbox is responsible for: secure payment processing, dispute mediation, enforcing seller standards, and our buyer protection policy.

Data & Privacy
Your data is encrypted and stored securely
We never sell your personal data to third parties
Your payment details are never stored on our servers
You can request data deletion at any time
We may share anonymized data for analytics purposes
Order information is shared with sellers to fulfill orders
By using Shopbox, you consent to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. You may update your data preferences in Account Settings at any time.

Dispute Resolution
If you have a dispute with a seller, follow this process:
Step 1: Contact seller directly through Shopbox chat
Step 2: If unresolved, open a formal dispute through Shopbox support
Step 3: Shopbox mediates — both parties provide evidence
Step 4: Shopbox issues a final decision within 5 business days
Final Decision
Shopbox's decision on all disputes is final and binding. By using our platform, you agree to accept our mediation process as the primary resolution mechanism.

Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any unresolved disputes shall be referred to the appropriate courts in Nigeria.
Shopbox reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after updates constitutes acceptance of the new terms. Major changes will be communicated via app notification and email.
